Cooking School FAQ

We will be offering classes in Spring 2026 in Rancho Mission Viejo and Ladera Ranch—more information to follow.

More information to follow.

No cooking experience is required. We’ll teach them the skills they need and guide them throughout each class.

We will email all participants a calendar of upcoming classes along with the menu for each day. Students will receive a copy of the recipe during class and will take home a complete cookbook of all their recipes at the end of the session.

In our cooking and baking classes, students build a strong foundation in essential culinary skills they can use in any kitchen. Through hands-on lessons, they’ll learn how to measure ingredients accurately, read and follow recipes, practice safe knife techniques, and understand key cooking methods like sautéing, mixing, boiling, and baking. They’ll also develop skills in dough handling, proper mixing techniques, seasoning, and kitchen safety.

These fundamentals are the building blocks of culinary arts, giving students the confidence to recreate class recipes at home and apply their new techniques to many more dishes in the future.

Students with shoulder-length hair or longer should bring a hair tie. They should also bring a pen or pencil for notes, though we’ll have extras available. Closed-toe, non-slip shoes are required for safety. Aprons will be provided for use during class.

Our classes regularly use common allergens such as wheat flour, eggs, milk, butter, and other ingredients that may cause reactions. Because of the shared tools, surfaces, and hands-on nature of our cooking activities, we are unable to accommodate students with severe food allergies.

If your student has a food allergy, please contact the instructor before registering to determine whether the class is a safe fit. We take food allergies very seriously, and for the safety of all students, our programs may not be suitable for everyone.
