Cooking School FAQ

Classes are located at The Outpost Clubhouse at 92 Sendero Way, Rancho Mission Viejo, CA 92694.

No cooking experience is required. We’ll teach them the skills they need and guide them throughout each class. 

In our cooking and baking classes, students learn real kitchen skills they can use at home and beyond. Through hands-on cooking, they practice measuring ingredients, reading and following recipes, using knives safely, and learning important cooking methods like mixing, sautéing, boiling, and baking. They’ll also work with dough, learn how to season food, and understand how to stay safe and organized in the kitchen.

These skills are the foundation of cooking and baking. By the end of class, students gain confidence to remake recipes at home and use what they’ve learned to create many more dishes on their own. 

• A water bottle
• A hair tie if their hair is shoulder-length or longer
• Closed-toe, non-slip shoes are required for safety

Our classes regularly use common allergens such as wheat flour, eggs, milk, butter, and other ingredients that may cause reactions. Because of the shared tools, surfaces, and hands-on nature of our cooking activities, we are unable to accommodate students with severe food allergies.

If your student has a food allergy, please contact the instructor before registering to determine whether the class is a safe fit. We take food allergies very seriously, and for the safety of all students, our programs may not be suitable for everyone.
